Cimarrones, Maestros Del Joropo Llanero

Los músicos del grupo colombiano Cimarrón son maestros del “joropo llanero”, ritmo tradicional de las planicies de Colombia y Venezuela. Cimarrón además de mantener viva su tradición, busca estar a tono con las nuevas demandas musicales. Nuestro corresponsal Marco Vinicio González entrevistó al director del grupo, Carlos Rojas, durante su presentación en el festival Folklife del Instituto Smithsonian. “CIMARRONES, MAESTROS OF JOROPO LLANERO” The musicians of the Colombian group Cimarrón are maestros of “joropo llanero”, a traditional rhythm from the plains of Colombia and Venezuela.
